Multimodal Hubs elements and facilities

For serving multimodal hubs purposes several features are required, distinguished in several categories.

Mobility elements: concern mobility services provided to users at any time and are responsible for the proper operation of the hub. Different mobility elements are selected for a hub’s configuration depending on the mobility modes it aims to cover.

Service elements: support the hub’s operation by providing additional non-mobility services to the users and transform it from a transition point to a destination, theses can range from public toilets to gastronomic services or shops.

Enabling services: can facilitate the transition from one mode to another such as the shift from LDVs to cargo-bikes. Battery swapping can also be considered in those enabling services.
