R-MODS concept aims to reduce traffic by optimizing and expanding the use of existing services and vehicle fleet. Until now, a mobility on demand service for seniors (age 67 and above) operated in certain areas of Oslo city. Transport services were provided door-to-door by dedicated buses, while there was no fixed schedule. The company responsible for the operation of these services, investigated the possibilities of combining freight and passenger transport for seniors in order to better utilize the relevant resources. The new R-MODS concept aims to provide transport services in two groups of users:

1. Those already using the R-MoDS service, offered to receive all products purchased at the shopping centre CC Vest directly to their residences.

2. CC Vest customers purchasing large or heavy objects.

The organisation of activities in the shopping centre and the information systems to be used will be generic and will support all types of purchased goods.
